MODELING CONSIDERATIONS REGARDING
LATENT LONGITUDINAL COVARIATES --
MEASUREMENT ERROR PROSPECTIVES

by

Prof. Naisyin Wang
Department of Statistics
Texas A&M University

Abstract

The consideration of whether to take into account the covariance structure and how to do so have motivated various recent research topics in longitudinal data analysis. In this talk, I will discuss this issue from a measurement-error modeling prospective. I will use simple numerical illustrations to motivate the semi-parametric approaches that we have developed. I will also discuss various recent directions, including our own, on how to model the covariance structure.
