SOME NEW CLINICAL TRIAL DESIGNS
FOR PROSPECTIVE USE OF GENOMICS
IN CANCER CLINICAL TRIALS

Effective development of molecularly targeted drugs generally requires co-development of a diagnostic test (predictive biomarker) for identifying patients who are most likely to benefit from the agent. I will describe a variety of novel clinical trial designs, including adaptive designs, useful for this purpose.
