AN EXPANDED STUDY OF INPATIENT RE-ADMISSION PATTERNS AT MSK

There has been growing interest in seeking a predictive model for inpatient re-admissions at MSK and elsewhere, spurred in part by the possibility of regulatory financial penalties being imposed on hospitals for which the re-admission rate is deemed to be too high. We will present recent, expanded analyses of information retrieved directly from the Institutional Data Base, done primarily in collaboration with the Quantitative Analysis and Strategic Initiatives group of Hospital Administration and in consultation with staff from other administrative and clinical departments.
