LOGISTIC REGRESSION AND THE AREA UNDER THE ROC CURVE

Logistic regression is widely used to model a binary variable as a function of various covariates. The model fit is often characterized using the area under the ROC curve (AUC) for that model. When the AUCs for multiple models are presented, an implicit comparison is done by the reader. In this talk, we will present the characteristics of this comparison.

This is a collaboration with Andrew Vickers, Colin Begg & Mithat Gönen.
