EMPIRICAL LIKELIHOOD, U-STATISTICS AND
VARIABLE SELECTION IN SURVIVAL ANALYSIS
USING ESTIMATING EQUATIONS

In this study we will investigate the application of empirical likelihood in survival analysis utilizing estimating equations. When empirical likelihood approach is applied to estimating equations involving U-statistics, inference and variable selection can be made. We will also discuss some technical and computational problems involved. Such methods will be illustrated using regression analysis of right- or interval-censored survival data.
