Abstract

This talk will feature examples of the data needs and research questions that have challenged OMH policy makers. Approaches to meeting those needs will be discussed and fruitful areas for public sector and academic collaborations identified.

Biographical Note

Sheila Donahue is the Director of the OMH Office of Performance Measurement and Evaluation. She trained as an economist at the University at Albany where she received a master’s degree and completed coursework for the Ph.D. degree with specialty fields of econometrics and public finance. Ms. Donahue oversees OMH’s performance measurement and evaluation initiatives, and ensures that the results from these efforts support and inform mental health policy and program development. She has been associated with OMH for more than 20 years and has held positions related to research and evaluation, finance and human resource planning and also serves as the Chairperson of the OMH Central Office Institutional Review Board.
